This annual report of the People’s Republic of China (PRC) Poverty Reduction and Regional Cooperation Fund (the Fund) is prepared by ADB’s Office of Cofinancing Operations (OCO). The report aims to review the progress of the Fund operations in 2016, in compliance with the reporting requirement stipulated in the ADB Board Paper and the ADB-PRC Contribution Agreement. It also provides an update on the overall Fund operations from 2005 to 2016.

From 2005 to 2016, 101 project proposals have been submitted to MOF for funding consideration, of which 85 applications totaling $38 million were approved for funding. For the past 12 years, the Fund was able to support various sectors, most notably in public sector management, multi-sector, industry and trade, and agriculture and natural resources.
