英文摘要	This report highlights the milestones in the Bangladesh-ADB partnership since 1973, including projects that exemplify sustained development results. Examples of projects with sustained development results include sectors such as transport, energy, education, agriculture, and urban development projects. Since Bangladesh’s partnership with the Asian Development Bank (ADB) in 1973, the country has seen significant socioeconomic gains with a steady rise in gross domestic product, boost in social development, and meeting the Millennium Development Goal of halving the incidence of poverty from 57% in 1990 to less than 24% in 2016. As of December 2016, ADB’s cumulative assistance for Bangladesh amounted to $18.3 billion for 265 loans, and $249.5 million for 419 technical assistance projects. ADB aims to increase lending to Bangladesh to $8 billion during 2016–2020, a significant increase from $5 billion during 2011–2015.
