正文(英文)

We have all experienced extreme weather in our lives – storms, extreme rainfall, heatwaves or droughts. The question often arises how these events are linked to climate change and whether we are likely to see more of them in the future. This field of research is called “event attribution”.

We are excited to announce the publication of the 8th Climate Science Briefing Paper on the attribution of extreme weather events to climate change, as well as an accompanying podcast. The Society's Climate Science Communication Group is producing a series of Climate Science Briefing Papers with the aim to clearly and concisely explain important aspects of climate science.

Download the paper here.

Caroline Coch, Climate Science Communications Specialist at RMetS speaks to Dr Fredi Otto, acting director of the Environmental Change Institute at the University of Oxford. You can listen to the podcast here:
