Seismology on Mars: JPL&#8217;s Bruce Banerdt SSA Keynote Address

23 April 2019–NASA’s InSight mission has detected its first likely “quake” on Mars. At the opening of the 2019 SSA Annual Meeting, InSight Principal Investigator Bruce Banerdt of NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory described the finding by the lander and discussed the hopeful future of Martian seismology.
