The Water Environment Federation (WEF; Alexandria, Va.) “Words on Water” podcast series presents insights from leaders in the water sector. Stream online podcast episodes and download audio files on iTunes and the Android Words on Water app.

In recent episodes:

  • Kevin Marsh, vice president of sales and marketing for FlowWorks (Seattle), discusses how big data and machine learning can be used to improve information on stormwater impacts on collections systems;
  • Mike Matichich, financial services consulting team lead for Jacobs (Dallas), explains the importance of creating customer assistance programs and turning research on affordability into action;
  • Paul Bowen, water and wastewater technology manager for the Coca-Cola North American Supply Chain and past president of the WEF Board of Trustees, talks about the company’s focus on sustainability, relationships with water utilities, and opportunities for reusing treated water; and
  • WEF staff members give a preview of WEFTEC 2018, including highlights of the conference program, new additions to the exhibition, an Opening General Session overview, and recommendations for using the WEFTEC mobile app.
