Leyla Sandeman is the Head of AMMA’s East Coast workplace relations team.A highly-experienced senior employment lawyer, Leyla’s industry knowledge further bolsters AMMA’s consultancy team and strengthens the national employer group’s on-hand support to members.
An effective and respected advisor and strategist on all workplace matters, Leyla’s guidance is an invaluable asset to AMMA members on a wide range of legal and industry matters.
With a wealth of knowledge in employment law, Leyla is also highly respected for her industry knowledge and understanding of the issues affecting resources and energy industry employers.
Based in Brisbane, Leyla leads AMMA’s busy team of employment experts across Queensland, New South Wales, Victoria, South Australia and Tasmania, Leyla.
Her deep understanding of workplace issues stretches from enterprise bargaining, industrial strategy, employee entitlements and labour hire licensing.
She is also experienced in discrimination, unfair dismissal and adverse action claims, employment contracts, redundancy, transfer of business and the interpretation of enterprise agreements and modern awards.
For the past decade, Leyla has worked with well-regarded law firm Minter Ellison where she was a Senior Associate for more than six years.
