正文(英文)	Our latest Climate Science Briefing Paper has recently been published in Weather. The topic of this paper is the benefits of reducing global CO2 emissions to net-zero by 2050. Benefits considered include achieving a healthier population, reducing the frequency and intensity of extreme weather events such as heatwaves, heavy rainfall and droughts, and reducing the number of people exposed to sea-level related risks. This paper is part of a series of Climate Science Briefing Papers produced by the Royal Meteorological Society’s Science Engagement Committee to clearly and concisely explain the science behind our changing climate.
