Looking for the latest on COP 26 as the weekend gets underway? Here is a United Nations recap on Friday's negotiations and more

In the Methane Pavilion, UNEP’s Latin America and the Caribbean Regional Office presented progress and challenges of actions on air quality. Watch the whole panel with representatives from the Stockholm Environment Institute and the World Bank here

Even though the Peatland Pavilion in Glasgow has wrapped up its work, the Virtual Pavilion remains open as a resource on these special wetlands around the world. Dive deep into a 3D audiovisual experience which includes a greeting by astronaut and scientist Dr. Roberta Bondar and actor and environmentalist Alec Baldwin.

So far, agreements related to technology have been approved and have been updated to be strong and positive and in line with the UN Climate Technology Centre & Network’s (CTCN) work that is done as a mechanism under UNEP. The texts strengthen alignment between the technology and finance mechanisms.

CTCN Director Dr. Rose Mwebaza took part in “The Road Beyond COP26: A Conversation with African Gender Networks Leading Climate Action”, organized by the UK Government and the Network of African Women Environmentalists (NAWE). She said, “We can't do what we do and build resilience, without putting women, youth and the indigenous peoples at the centre of it.” Elizabeth Wathuti, A UNEP Young Champion finalist 2019 and Kenyan climate activist, was also present.
