This is Third Generation Environmentalism (E3G)’s response to the Bank of England’s consultation for options to greening the Bank’s Corporate Bond Purchase Program.

In May, the Bank of England published a discussion paper setting out options for taking climate considerations into account in the design of its Corporate Bond Purchase Facility (CBPS). With thinking on climate conscious investing developing rapidly, the Bank was keen to hear from a wide range of respondents including: firms that issue debt; investors; academics; advocacy groups; international organisations; and the public.
