Recognized by Insight Into Diversity Magazine as a top college for diversity <https://www.vancouver.wsu.edu/news/wsu-vancouver-receives-insight-divers..., WSUV commits to inclusive excellence by advancing equity and diversity in all that we do. Situated on 351 scenic acres, WSU Vancouver is in the homeland of the Chinookan and Taidnapam peoples and the Cowlitz Indian Tribe. A part of the Portland, Oregon metro area, Vancouver offers a wealth of social justice, cultural and recreational interests. WSUV’s strategic plan includes a commitment to equity and a goal to increase the success of historically minoritized students. We highly encourage scholars from underrepresented populations to apply and offer fellowship opportunities for students who identify as Black/African American, Hispanic/Latinx, Native American, Alaskan Native, Native Hawaiian, Native American, Asian, Pacific Islander and women in STEM. We also encourage students of diverse physical and mental abilities, genders, and orientations to apply. Dr. Moffett is personally engaged in campus, research, and departmental work toward enhanced equity and inclusion and invites students identifying with historically minoritized groups to apply to this position without hesitation.
