IEEP is looking for a full-time lead on our bioeconomy and bioenergy work area, to shape IEEP’s thinking and policy messaging on bioeconomy and bioenergy related issues, maintaining its reputation as a trusted, objective, independent and evidence-based analysis of related policies and their implementation.
IEEP is looking for a candidate who likes to take initiative and feels comfortable working in a small and dynamic team. The successful candidate will have expertise on EU bioeconomy, bioenergy and climate policies and understand how they are linked to land use. They should be capable of both initiating and undertaking projects under tight deadlines, involving frequent contact with the European Commission and other key stakeholders. An ability to grasp and assess both technical EU budget and political issues and prepare fluent and cogent reports in English is critical. A successful candidate will need to have the skills and confidence to lead and coordinate a body of work and represent the Institute at a variety of fora in Brussels and elsewhere. For the right candidate there is an opportunity to make a real difference to policy outcomes.
