The Bedrock Critical Zone Network (CZN) team seeks graduate students to work on a new, NSF-funded project focused on understanding linkages between subsurface weathering, surface processes, and ecosystems across a network of sites in the coterminous United States. This is transdisciplinary work at the interface between water, rock, and life and involves collaboration with top scientists at eight institutions across the country. Students with an interest in critical-zone science, ecohydrology, surface processes, low-temperature geochemistry and/or near-surface geophysics are encouraged to contact us and apply in the 2020-2021 application cycle for admission in Fall 2021.
