In 2020 employers in our industry, like all other business sectors, have been extraordinarily challenged and tested. Whilst our industry has seen some unavoidable job losses, on a whole our industry is proving to be very resilient. In times like these, the strength of AMMA’s membership and our industry’s close community truly shines. Our members stand ready to lead our nation’s economic recovery.
“The opportunity to acknowledge longstanding members is a great reminder of the long and valuable partnerships AMMA has formed with organisations of all sizes over its 102-year journey,” AMMA Chief Executive Steve Knott said.
“AMMA’s charter and number one focus as a membership organisation is to add value to our members. This is why AMMA has survived and thrived through many great challenges since our organisation was formed in 1918.
“The challenges our industry and our nation presently face are extraordinary and unique. However, just as we have done in the past, collectively we will move past them and emerge stronger for the experience.
“It is with great pleasure AMMA recognises its long membership recipients for 2020. Thank you for your significant and ongoing national contribution, for supporting AMMA activities and events, and for participating in our wide community of interest.”
This year’s longest milestone is the 60-year membership of ExxonMobil Australia – a company which has operated in Australia since 1895, generating jobs and secure energy supply for Australians.
