Bangladesh Rural Water, Sanitation and Hygiene for Human Capital Development Project
IDA: $200 million (Blend terms)

Terms: Maturity: 30 years Grace Period: 5 years
Project Description: The project will improve access to ‘safely-managed’ water supply and sanitation in selected areas of rural Bangladesh, and strengthen sector institutional capacity for water and sanitation. Through providing better access to water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH) facilities at homes and in public places and motivating people to adopt proper handwashing practices, the project will help prevent diseases and protect from infectious disease outbreaks, including the COVID-19 pandemic. Further, it will address urgent WASH needs during the COVID 19 pandemic in a quick and timely way.
