IEEP is looking for a website and social media intern to assist the communications manager in the management and execution of our communications strategy.
This is a 3-month, part-time, non-paid internship intended for current students or recent graduates. Due to the current COVID-19 situation, the internship will be conducted remotely. A small stipend will be provided to help cover local travel and lunch expenses.

Position Responsibilities
The website and social media intern will be primarily responsible for:
- Engaging with researchers to help develop accurate, relevant, and timely short-form content for social media and other online channels
- Scheduling posts using content calendars to ensure regular dissemination across social media channels
- Developing visuals or editing images to accompany digital content, including promotional kits for initiatives and events
- Helping plan social media campaigns to reach a wider audience, increase brand awareness and improve engagement
- Formatting and scheduling content for the IEEP.eu website
- Monitoring IEEP’s social media presence and engaging where relevant to build a community feel
- Tracking website and social media metrics.
Qualifications
The position is open to undergraduate and graduate students, as well as recent graduates, with requisite skills:
- Professional fluency in English is required
- Student of journalism, marketing or similar subject
- Experience creating and/or helping to manage social media messaging for organisations
- Proficiency in the use of social media platforms (notably Twitter and LinkedIn).
- Strong writing, time-management skills, and the ability to work independently
Highly welcome, but not required:
- Graphic design skills, including familiarity with Photoshop and Canva
- Familiarity with environmental and sustainability topics, including European environmental policies and EU legislation processes
