UK Research and Innovation (UKRI) has published its 2019 Gender Pay Gap Report.

The report highlights a mean gender pay gap across UKRI of 11.7% and a median gender pay gap of 13.7%.

Both the median and mean figures have widened slightly on figures published in the 2018 report.

UKRI Chief People Officer, Sue Donaldson, said: “We are committed to reducing our gender pay gap by understanding and addressing its underlying drivers, so that we focus our efforts where they will be effective.

“I look forward to working with colleagues across UKRI to ensure that our policies and initiatives as an employer and a funder are aligned.”

UKRI will conduct further analysis of the data to understand in more detail the drivers behind our gender pay gap.

An ambitious plan tailored to the needs of the organisation will be developed and UKRI will centrally provide the tools needed to make interventions, whose impact will be regularly evaluated.
