正文(英文) | The Copernicus Emergency Management Service maps flood event dynamics in Germany. In 29 and 30 June 2017, two low pressure systems and wet air brought extreme flood conditions to Germany’s driest province of Brandenburg. Heavy rainfall severely impacted transportation infrastructure and caused weather related emergencies throughout the region. Firefighters and emergency crews responded to the unusually high amount of dispatch alerts caused by the event. The peak of the precipitations combined with subsequent rainy days lead to the permanence of flooded areas until August 2017. Copernicus EMS Risk and Recovery Mapping was activated in November 2019 on behalf of the Ministry of Environment of the state of Brandenburg , Germany with the objective of assessing the 2017 flood event to support future risks assessment and mitigation measures in the area. The activation looks specifically at the affected area of Rhin-Havelluch, District Oberhavel. The objective of the EMS activation was to illustrate the maximum extent of the flooded area as well as the timeline of the retraction of water in the weeks following the event. This was Standard Activation that involved a predetermined set of products which allowed for timely and thorough analysis. Two Areas of Interest (AOIs) have been identified, namely AOI01 KREMMEN (475 km2), and AOI02 ORANIENBURG (464 km2). The Authorized User (AU) requested the activation of the following STANDARD products:
