Our Land Cover project team has launched a User Requirement Survey to define priority areas for improving the Land Cover Climate Data record products (1992 – 2015).
The product provides research-quality global Land Cover maps at 300m over a 24-year period and has been incorporated into the Copernicus Climate Data Record. A data viewer is available and the data can be downloaded vis the CCI Open Data Portal.

With a broad range of Users including climate science communities and beyond, the survey - open until 4 September - aims collect feedback to help define how best to update the product.
In addition to the customary characteristics such as spatial detail, temporal resolution and land cover categorisation, the survey will address the requirements for Essential Climate Variable product uncertainties and how they should be expressed, including those that are difficult or impossible to quantify.
