Managing Director and CEO of Broadspectrum Limited Tom Quinn has accepted the Board of Directors’ nomination as the new President of Australian Resources and Energy AMMA.
“AMMA’s members will be very pleased to have Tom Quinn lead the Group in its next phase of growth and development,” AMMA Chief Executive Steve Knott said.
“Tom has a wealth of industry and leadership experience that will greatly benefit AMMA as we enter our 102nd year of providing support, representation and leadership to employers across this incredibly important and diverse industry.

Mr Quinn (pictured) has more than 30 years’ experience in professional and technical roles across the mining, oil and gas, manufacturing, chemicals and construction industries.
He joined Broadspectrum, a highly diversified multinational services provider with 96,000 employees across 20 countries, in 2016 as Chief Executive, Resources.
In 2018 he was appointed Managing Director and CEO.
Mr Quinn joined the AMMA Board of Directors in 2017 and has served as Vice President for the past two years. He assumes the President role from Richard Owen, Upstream Business Development Executive, ExxonMobil, who steps down after more than five years on the Board.
On behalf of AMMA and its members, Mr Knott also thanked Richard Owen for his outstanding leadership on the AMMA Board for the past five years, three of which he served as President.
“Mr Owen has given a great deal back to the industry in which he has had a highly successful career spanning more than 35 years,” he said.
In other AMMA Board announcements, Francesca Lee, Chief Legal, Risk & Compliance Officer at Newcrest Mining, is stepping down after 1.5 years on the Board.
Meg O’Neill, Executive Vice President Development, Woodside Energy, accepted the AMMA Board’s nomination as Vice President, joining Linda O’Farrell of Fortescue Metals Group in the role.
