正文(英文)	Wheelchair Restraint Systems in Passenger Aircraft – Feb. 5-6 Public Meeting On Feb. 5-6, a committee of the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine will host its first meeting for a congressionally mandated study on the feasibility of equipping passenger aircraft with in-cabin restraint systems for motorized and nonmotorized wheelchairs. Presentations will focus on the perspectives of wheelchair users, the airline industry, and aircraft manufacturers. FAA requirements and considerations as well as new innovations in wheelchair accessible airplane travel will also be discussed. The meeting will feature speakers from Boeing, FAA, Paralyzed Veterans of America, National Council on Independent Living, and the National Air Carrier Association, among others.
