ADB's Country Operations Business Plan (COBP) for the People's Republic of China for 2018-2020 builds on past efforts to incorporate innovative elements, add value, leverage finance and knowledge, and contribute to capacity development of human resources in the PRC.

It focuses on innovation and high-impact technology; fostering of regional and global public goods such as pollution control and climate change mitigation and adaptation; promotion of equal access to services and environmentally sustainable development; reduction of rural-urban disparities and promotion of international cooperation and regional connectivity, trade, and investments. The COBP also reinforces the vision to deepen the partnership between the PRC and ADB in the area of knowledge and to share knowledge solutions created through ADB operations in the PRC with other developing member countries for enhanced development impact in the PRC and Asia and the Pacific.
