We are proud to represent Australia’s minerals industry which leads the world in innovation, sustainability, productivity and making modern life possible through mining and minerals processing. In particular, we are proud to represent regional communities which benefit from high-wage, high-skill jobs and a sustainable minerals industry. Any organisation which seeks to participate in public debate and policy should welcome transparency and vigorous scrutiny of its policy positions. MCA has worked closely with its member companies to ensure our positions on a range of issues – including climate and energy policy – reflect contemporary views and global reality. The minerals industry needs to ensure its approach is attuned to community expectations as well as commercial imperatives.
