Australia’s resources exports reached a record of $273 billion in 2018-19 and accounted for 58 per cent of Australia’s total exports.

Over the last decade the minerals industry generated $212 billion in company tax and royalties for Australia. This funds the infrastructure and services all Australians rely on.

Bipartisan support will ensure the minerals industry can continue driving economic growth and prosperity for Australia.

Mining will also provide the foundations for the innovations of tomorrow. The materials needed for renewable energy – such as solar and wind turbines - electric vehicles and even commercial space travel will come from mining.

Everything we depend on is either made from minerals or relies on minerals for its production. If it did not grow, it was mined.
