The Future Earth MENA Regional Center, in cooperation with the University of Bahrain is organizing a conference on water issues that will have a distinct focus on the Eastern Mediterranean, the Middle East and North Africa (MENA Region). Addressing the theme “Water in the MENA Region: Preparing for a Changing World”, the conference will be held at the University of Bahrain, February 2 to 4, 2020.

This Conference aims to bring together leading professionals, specialists, practitioners and researchers involved in some of the most current topics of relevance in water management and water security specific to the MENA region. Through the discussions of research findings and the exchange of experiences during the conference, we aim to identify practical, problem-solving measures in order to find commonalities of purpose that can contribute to maintaining water security in the MENA Region on the local and regional levels in a rapidly changing world.
