正文(英文)WWF-Mongolia is extending the conservation work for snow leopard and its prey in six different Mountains in Western Mongolia, Altai Sayan Ecoregion by introducing/implementing five year conservation project. The project’s overarching goal is “The future of the second largest global population of the snow leopard “Irbis” – the Northern subspecies – is fully secured through functional connectivity of subpopulations in Russia and within Mongolia and elimination of poaching and retaliation killing in the sustainably managed critical habitats”.
Major Functions: Ensures effective implementation of the communications and educations objectives at snow leopard project for herders and communities on procedures, standards, development, experiences respond to queries on matters relating to snow leopard and its habitat protection.
Duties and Responsibilities:  
Ensures effective implementation of objectives 2, 3 and 6, and other activities in relation to the project as follows:
-Responsible for planning, implementation and monitoring of communication and education activities within the framework of the project in accordance with the project objectives;
-Updates and analyses K-A-P database for different thematic, including CBNRM, protected area and species;
-Collects news/stories from the field and prepares for different purposes, including website update, quarterly e-news and social media;
-Maintains close working relationship with formal and non-formal education institutes and ensures conservation issues are integrated into formal education curriculum in priority places;
-Collaborates with mass media through activities such as organizing project site visits, facilitating photo coverage and TV footage and utilizing both web-based and traditional media as appropriate;
-Makes contracts with related partners (private & public) and monitor compliance with contractual terms, particularly reporting, providing guidance and ensuring timely receipts;
-Liaises with developing promotion materials in line with WWF’s brand guidelines;
-Supports the project team in day to day communications and educations activities related to the project activities;
-Establishes and maintains strategic stakeholders for the implementation of the project;
-Assists with development and implementation of project activities together with wildlife traffic and law enforcement and marketing staff.
Required Qualifications:
-University degree or comparable experience in journalism, communications or appropriate field
-Experience of advocacy and negotiating with locals and communities at all levels
-Excellent understanding of development partnerships, fund-raising, donor strategies, functions and international relations
-Familiar with conservation and natural resource management issues in Mongolia
-At least 5 years’ professional experience in communications and communications experience in conservation or environmental issues strongly preferred 
Required Skills and Competencies: 
- A strong interest in the field of nature conservation and natural resource management and strong editorial and writing skills in a variety of styles are essential;
-The ability to work independently and under strict deadlines;
-Good organizational skills and an ability to work with individuals from a wide variety of cultural backgrounds;- -Excellent English & Mongolian language;
-Excellent translating experiences is advantage; 
-Ability to liaise effectively with local communities and governments at different levels;
-Good communication, presentation, public speaking and negotiation skills;
-Ability to work in the field with team and motivate stakeholders;
-Willingness to travel extensively in the field (1/4 annual time);
-Adhere to WWF’s values: Knowledgeable, Optimistic, Determined and Engaging;
