正文(英文)	WWF-Mongolia is extending the conservation work for snow leopard and its prey in six different Mountains in Western Mongolia, Altai Sayan Ecoregion by introducing/implementing five year conservation project. The project’s overarching goal is “The future of the second largest global population of the snow leopard “Irbis” – the Northern subspecies – is fully secured through functional connectivity of subpopulations in Russia and within Mongolia and elimination of poaching and retaliation killing in the sustainably managed critical habitats”. Major Functions: Ensures effective implementation of Illegal trade of wildlife derivatives, poaching and wildlife legislation objectives at snow leopard project for herders and communities on procedures, standards, development, experiences respond to queries on matters relating to snow leopard and its habitat protection. Majority responsible for the officer will involve working with locals and communities locally and nationally to support wildlife derivatives identification, source of information and ensure connectivity of law enforcement and legislation in order to identify ultimate causes and preventing. Duties and Responsibilities: Ensures effective implementation of the species’ and law enforcement related projects activities relation to objectives 1, 3, 5 and 6 as follows: -Responsible wildlife research and monitoring, training activities frame of the project objectives; -Establish database on integration and collation data wildlife traffics and related laws which will be used to better understanding the current situation and further action -Ensure analyzing data and reporting on wildlife traffic, poaching cases and current wildlife legislation and law enforcement -Collects and reports information on the condition of potential wildlife habitat and availability places for poaching and trafficking -Assists and works in conjunction with other related agencies’ as aimag, soum and national as police in law enforcement activities. -Provide educational services and natural resources and wildlife traffic resource information to civic, herder, communities and schools; newspapers, radio and TV stations in local and nationwide. -Effectively communicated at local level in order to enable successful identification fundamental wildlife traffic issues for achievement of goals/objectives; -Establishes and regularly updates wildlife traffic and Law Enforcement related information and baseline data and implements an effective monitoring and evaluation system according to the relevant standards set by WWF Mongolia; -Elaborates quarterly and annual work plans for Species and Law Enforcement related works in ASER and Nationwide, for which she/he responsible and ensures proper implementation in close cooperation with related thematic officers of WWF Mongolia; -Develops, and drafts contracts for executants or consultants and monitors compliance with contractual terms, particularly reporting, providing guidance and ensures timely receipts; -Monitors accounts (incoming funds and project expenditures) in relation to approved work plans and prepare payment requests for related projects and project components/objectives; -Ensures timely technical project reporting to Project coordinator, Conservation director and all relevant parties of the WWF Mongolia according to agreed standards Required Qualifications: -An academic degree in environmental conservation, natural resources, natural sciences or related field; -Technical proficiency in the field of nature conservation and natural resource management, with at least 5 years’ professional experience in project planning and implementation; -Experience of advocacy and negotiating with local governments and communities at all levels -Excellent understanding of development partnerships, strategies, functions and international relations -Familiar with conservation and natural resource management and wildlife traffic issues in Mongolia is an advantage -Knowledge of GIS and other modelling tools is an asset; Required Skills and Competencies: -Excellent capacity to manage financial resources, strong skills in project planning, financing, implementation and evaluation, -Ability to liaise effectively with local communities and governments at different levels, -Good communication, presentation, public speaking and negotiation skills, -Ability to work in the fields regularly with team and motivate stakeholders, -Excellent oral and written communications skills in English -Willingness to travel extensively in the field (1/4 annual time); Adhere to WWF’s values: Knowledgeable, Optimistic, Determined and Engaging All interested candidates should submit: -CV and cover letter -Copy of diplomas, certificate and testimonials of degrees obtained -3 or more names and contact details for reference -Copy of Identification Card Email to info@wwf.mn Contact information: Inter Office 4th floor, 8th khoroo, Sukhbaatar district, Amar Street-4 Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia Only those who meet the requirements will be contacted.
