Central World, Bangkok, 14h June – In a movement towards the promotion of social and communal development, WWF Thailand gave a preview into their project latest campaign, “Eat Better”, under the Sustainable Consumption and Production (SCP) project, at Central Group’s 7th Central Tham Community fair at Central World. Running from 13th-17th June, visitors will have the chance to visit the booth and learn more about the awareness-raising initiative for a sustainable food system, as well as understand the interlinkages between sustainable consumption and environmental conservation.

Throughout the four-day event alongside WWF-Thailand’s fundraising initiative for biodiversity and wildlife conservation, the Sustainable Consumption and Production (SCP) project’s #Eatbetter aims to encourage dialogue and knowledge exchange among consumers on realizing the negative environmental consequences of their consumption behavior and purchasing decision and the need to reconsider their consumption patterns. Where visitors are invited to partake in the movement through an online platform, they will also have a chance to interact with the campaign’s product exhibits, as well as learn more about the initiative from representatives of the organization’s project on the project’s recent conservation work with Central Group and Tops Supermarket in Nan, Thailand, in areas including helping to add value to local produce as one of the key driver towards sustainable food system, as well as protection of environment and wildlife. Where the organization hopes to provide tremendous support in mechanisms of social and environmental issues such as biodiversity loss, rapid urbanization and food insecurity, Central Tham communal gathering of NGOs, international organizations and local producers from over 45 provinces in Thailand, further echoes of the importance WWF-Thailand places in socialization development and environmental protection.
