正文(英文)WWF-Mongolia collaborates with the Task Force of Anti-Crime Action Regulatory Council and the Anti-Environmental Crime Sub-Council in Mongolia. Under this cooperation, they successfully organized a mobile training on improved detection, control, and cooperation for anti-environmental crimes and violations for the state border point staffing in Western Mongolia on May 2018. Facilitators of the training were specialists and officers from the Ministry of Justice and Internal Affairs, the General Prosecutor’s Office, the General Customs Office, and the General Authority for Border Protection as well as trainers from the Department of Biology of the National University of Mongolia.
The training was attended by a total of 184 officers from five the state border points. Its purpose was to seek for the ways to improve the information exchange and cooperation in prevention and detection of environmental crimes and violations, in particular wildlife poaching and smuggling and to improve expertise and skills of local border point officers and servants through on-the job trainings.
Training was held in non-business hours as soon as their typical daily business hours came to end in order to allow every officer in the border points to attend it.  Attendees were presented with updates on the legislations on anti-environmental crimes and violations including revised and amended laws, namely the revised Criminal Law and the Law on Violation.  Moreover, they were presented with instructions on techniques of detection and collection of evidences of illegal wildlife hunting and trade.
Following the didactic presentations delivered, the attendees were divided into small groups, where they were given with different cases of violations and illegal actions for group discussions and debates and trainers or facilitators made clarifications and additional details on their best solutions. According to its co-organizers and participants, this type of training was much informative and practical for the border point employees, so that it’s worthy to organize it in the rest of the border points.
