正文(英文) | As the recognition of the dependence between climate change and variability and human welfare grows, climate action continues gaining importance on the global development agenda. The WMO-spearheaded Global Framework for Climate Services (GFCS) contributed to stepping up global efforts related to climate services by co-implementing a USAID-funded Assessing Sustainability and Effectiveness of Climate Information Services in Africa (Sustainable CIS) project in 2016-2018. The Sustainable CIS project emphasized the importance of a Systems Perspective to Climate Services' and produced reports and tools to support national meteorological and hydrological services (NMHSs), national governments, and development partners in advancing climate services for the achievement of global priorities. The following materials, developed in collaboration with NMHSs in Cote d’Ivoire, Ethiopia, Malawi, Mali, Niger, Rwanda, and Senegal, have been made publicly available through the Learning Agenda for Climate Services: NMHS Capacity Assessment Tools and Findings
